Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre Clinical Trials Unit

BHOC CTU has a dedicated Early Phase Treatment Area, which is part of the NIHR Bristol CRF. This early phase treatment area is housed within the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre.

The BHOC CTU is supported by the oncology day unit for overflow research capacity.

The Pharmacy Parenteral Services Unit is adjacent to the BHOC CRF Unit and supports all research studies and clinical delivery. It includes: three Grade C clean rooms; two aseptic check areas; four negative pressure isolators used for aseptic preparation of clinical trials cytotoxic chemotherapy and four positive pressure isolators used for the preparation of paediatric and neonatal TPN.

Please note that Early Phase and complex clinical trials in Oncology and Immunotherapy are run in the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre, which is nearby but in a separate building to the NIHR Bristol CRF.
