Accessibility

The NIHR Bristol Clinical Research Facility is dedicated to providing a website experience that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.

We have used plain English wherever possible. Due to the nature of our content, we may not be able to simplify our language without changing the meaning of the text in some situations.

PDFs

Certain documents may be provided as Adobe PDFs. We realise that these documents may not be as easily accessible for some users of our website. Adobe can provide free tools to aid in converting files to plain text or HTML.

Changing text size

Text size can be changed using your browser if needed. This can generally be done by using the zoom function in the browser’s main menu on the top right of the screen.

Guideline compliance

This website endeavours to conform to level AA of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (external link), and AAA where possible. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly for all people.

This site has been built using code compliant, as far as possible within the constraints of our content management system, with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. The site displays correctly in current browsers and using standards compliant HTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly.
